CBC IS HOME TO THE ROGERS CUP CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND, AUGUST 15 AND 16 ON CBC-TV AND CBCSPORTS.CA

Live coverage of the men’s and women’s semifinal and final matches will be available on CBC-TV, online at cbcsports.ca and via the CBC Sports App for iOS and Android
 
The eyes of the tennis world are on Toronto and Montreal this week with the top players from the WTA and ATP tours competing at the Rogers Cup presented by National Bank and CBC will have all of the championship action on August 15 and 16. CBC-TV, cbcsports.ca and the CBC Sports App for iOS and Android will have live coverage of the semifinal and final matches from both the men’s and women’s tournaments of this marquee tennis event.
 
Andi Petrillo will host CBC’s coverage alongside James Blake and Tom Tebbutt. Blake is a former World No. 4-ranked singles player with 10 ATP titles over the course of his career, and another seven doubles championships, and Tebbutt is a veteran tennis journalist widely considered Canada’s foremost voice on the sport. CBC’s Bruce Rainnie will be in Montreal to call the action from the men’s tournament alongside analyst Jimmy Arias with Rob Pizzo reporting. At the women’s tournament in Toronto, Sportsnet’s RJ Broadhead will provide the play-by-play call with analyst Tracy Austin, and Kelly VanderBeek reporting.
 
CBC’s coverage begins Saturday, Aug. 15 with the first of two women’s semifinal matches at 1 p.m. ET (10 a.m. PT) followed by the first men’s semifinal at 3 p.m. ET (12 p.m. PT). The second women’s semifinal is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET (3:30 p.m. PT) on Aug. 15 followed by the other men’s semifinal match at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT). The Toronto 2015 Parapan Am Games Closing Ceremony will be seen on CBC-TV immediately following the conclusion of the second men’s semifinal match. Sunday, Aug. 16 will feature the women’s final at 12:30 p.m. ET (9:30 a.m. PT) and the men’s final at 3 p.m. ET (12 p.m. PT). Each match will also be available live at cbcsports.ca.
