CBC ADDS FIVE MORE TV BROADCAST HOURS TO ITS TORONTO 2015 PAN AM GAMES COVERAGE

PROGRAMMING ALERT

 
An additional hour of coverage will be added to the weekday schedule daily
from July 20-24 at 6:30 p.m. (7 p.m. in Windsor and the North, 7:30 p.m. AT, 8 p.m. NT)
 
In addition to the extended TV coverage of the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am Games announced earlier this week, CBC today added five more weekday hours to its TV broadcast schedule for the final week of competition. Beginning Monday, July 20, and continuing through Friday, July 24, one additional hour of coverage will air each day from 6:30-7:30 p.m. (7-8 p.m. in Windsor and the North, 7:30-8:30 p.m. AT, 8-9 p.m. NT).
 
The new programming block, hosted by Scott Russell, will feature a wrap of the day’s most significant stories and brightest stars as well as a long-form showcase for one of the day’s top events. With team sports commanding the spotlight next week, sports with the potential to receive expanded coverage include Women’s Volleyball, Women’s and Men’s Basketball, Equestrian (Show Jumping), and Men’s and Women’s Beach Volleyball.
