CBC’s CANADA’S SMARTEST PERSON takes the title of Canada’s number one new Canadian series this fall, with almost one in four Canadians tuning into the exciting competition series.
 
Don’t miss out on the action, as the series wraps its successful season with an action packed two-hour finale on Sunday, November 23 at 8 p.m. (8:30 NT).
 
Over the last eight weeks, 32 remarkable Canadians have gone head-to-head in unique challenges based on the Theory of Multiple Intelligences that prove there’s more to being smart than having a high IQ or being a trivia buff. In the season finale, eight finalists return to put their smarts on the line in a series of all-new spectacular intelligence challenges. Only one will walk away with the coveted title of CANADA’S SMARTEST PERSON
 
The finalists represent the many ways you can be smart and represent a diverse cross-section of Canadians. They are:
 
Albert Tam, an MBA Candidate, from of Woodbridge, ON
Chris Tessaro, a Firefighter from Mississauga, ON
Mith Das, a Copywriter from Toronto, ON
Victoria Leenders-Cheng, a Magazine Editor from Montreal, QC
Max Cameron, a Fighter Pilot from Calgary, AB
Daryl Dillman, an Orthopedic Surgery Resident from Cole Harbour, NS
Johnny MacRae, a Poet from of North Vancouver, BC
Braden Lauer, a Law Student from Vancouver, BC
 
Viewers will once again be able to participate in the intelligence tests in real time, using the ground-breaking Canada’s Smartest Person app brought to you in part by SUBWAY® Restaurants. With over 175,000 downloads to date, and nearly one million individual intelligence tests taken, the CANADA’S SMARTEST PERSON app has been a momentous success engaging with viewers across the country.
 
Based on the Theory of Multiple Intelligences, CANADA’S SMARTEST PERSON, produced by Media Headquarters, features unique intelligence tests that redefine what it means to be smart. The made-in-Canada original competitive reality format is a global success that has been acquired to date in five territories for international versions.
