MUNRO CULLEN APPOINTED SENIOR CREATIVE DIRECTOR, COMMUNICATIONS, MARKETING AND BRAND

CBC announced today the appointment of Munro Cullen as the new senior creative director of CBC’s Communications, Marketing and Brand department. An international award-winning veteran of the broadcast entertainment industry, Cullen joins CBC with more than ten years’ experience building brands and prominent marketing campaigns.

In his most recent position as senior copywriter at Shaw Media, Cullen was integral to the creative direction of off-air print, radio and online advertising for more than 18 brands. He was also the head writer for the Shaw Media upfronts, with the scope of his work including corporate brand-building. Prior to joining Shaw, Cullen worked at Alliance Atlantis, first as a promo producer; along with his team, he then went on to establish the in-house advertising agency where he served as senior copywriter for six years. During that period, he and his team received no less than 40 awards and nominations from Promax, CAB and New York Festivals.

“I’m thrilled that Munro will be joining our Communications, Marketing and Brand team, and have no doubt he will be a great addition to the department,” said Bonnie Brownlee, executive director, Communications, Marketing and Brand. “His ability to determine the best creative direction for whatever is put in front of him, along with his unwavering commitment to communicating concepts with originality and creativity has resulted in a proven track record for affecting change.”
