JOIN CBC AND CIBC AS THEY CELEBRATE CIBC SOCCER NATION WITH A 2014 FIFA WORLD CUP BRAZIL™ VIEWING PARTY THIS SATURDAY IN DOWNTOWN OTTAWA

This family -friendly event features games, activities and live broadcasts of the Argentina vs. Belgium and Netherlands vs. Costa Rica quarter-final matches from 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™
 
The free event runs from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday, July 5
 
CBC is proud to partner with CIBC to bring Canadians CIBC Soccer Nation, a seven-city viewing tour each weekend throughout 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™, bringing the beautiful game to audiences in communities across the country. This weekend marks the sixth stop on the cross-country tour with a viewing party on Ottawa’s Sparks Street between Bank St. and O’Connor St. Each CIBC Soccer Nation event is made possible with additional support from adidas.
 
Soccer fans of all ages are encouraged to dress in the colours of their favourite teams and take part in CIBC Soccer Nation’s tour celebrating the beautiful game across Canada. Fun activities for the entire family this Saturday include a live viewing of the Argentina vs. Belgium and Netherlands vs. Costa Rica quarter-final matches on a giant screen, the CIBC Freestylers and cheer booth, the adidas adi-zone, prizes, and more fun activities for soccer fans of all ages. The first 200 fans in attendance to show a CBC ambassador that they have downloaded CBC’s FIFA World Cup™ App brought to you by Bell on their iOS or Android device will receive a mini-ball. Plus, CBC Ottawa’s David Gerow (@DGerow) will be on-site to welcome fans to the event.
