Monday, February 10 is the first day of competition for Curling, the Canadian Women’s Ice Hockey team plays Finland, and Canada is looking to build on its medal count in other events. Medal events include Men’s Moguls, Men’s 1500m Short Track, Men’s 500m Speed Skating, Ladies’ Super Combined Alpine Skiing, and Men’s 12.5 km Pursuit Biathlon.

MEN’S CURLING: CANADA VS. GERMANY (12 - 2:30 a.m. ET) on CBC
The Canadian Men’s curling team, skipped by Brad Jacobs of Sault Ste Marie, is looking to extend the country’s hold on Olympic Gold. Canada has won the last two Olympic Gold Medals (Kevin Martin (AB) - Vancouver 2010; Brad Gushue (NFLD) - Torino 2006).
OLYMPIC MORNING:
WOMEN’S CURLING: CANADA VS. CHINA (5 - 8 a.m. ET) on TSN
Led by one of Canada’s most decorated female skips, the Canadian women’s curling team, skipped by Jennifer Jones (WPG), is looking to put Canada back on top. Canada’s women’s team has not won Olympic gold since the sport was reintroduced in 1998 (silver in 2010; bronze in 2002 & 2006)
MEN’S CURLING: CANADA VS. SWITZERLAND (10 - 1 p.m. ET) on TSN
WOMEN’S ICE HOCKEY: FINLAND VS. CANADA (10 - 12:30 p.m. ET) on CBC
Canada (1-0) continues their quest for gold as they play their second game of the tournament versus Finland (0-1).
MEN’S AND WOMEN’S SHORT TRACK SPEED SKATING (4:45 - 7:30 a.m. ET) on CBC
The men’s and women’s team see action today from the Iceberg Skating Palace. The Men’s 1,500m features brothers Charles and Francois Hamelin along with Michael Gilday.
On the women’s side, in the 3,000m relay, the Chinese are World Champions and defending Olympic champions but Canada won silver at the 2013 World Championships. The Canadian team is made up of Marianne St. Gelais, Valerie Maltais, Jessica Gregg, Jessica Hewitt and Marie Eve Drolet.
Marianne St. Gelais, Valerie Maltais and Jessica Hewitt will also skate for Canada in the Ladies 500m.
FREESTYLE SKIING: MEN’S MOGULS QUALIFICATION (9 - 9:45 a.m. ET) on CBC
The Canadian men’s team is well represented at this event, featuring both reigning Olympic Gold medallist Alexandre Bilodeau and 2013 World Overall Champion Mikael Kingsbury, known as the King of the Hill. No moguls skier has successfully defended Olympic Winter gold in this event. Marc-Antoine Gagnon and Philippe Marquis will also compete in this event.

Watch as Canadians Alexandre Bilodeau and Mikael Kingsbury attempt to take the first Olympic Winter gold medal for this event.

Canada goes up against the two-time defending Olympic Champion from Sweden on Tuesday Morning. Team Sweden also won silver at the 2013 World Championship and should provide a strong test for Jennifer Jones and Team Canada.
FREESTYLE SKIING: LADIES’ SKI SLOPESTYLE QUALIFICATION (12:55 a.m. ET) on TSN

Canada’s Kaya Turski is the reigning World Champion and X Games gold medallist. She has spent the last six months recovering from a torn ACL but returned to competition in time to capture her fourth careen X Games ski slopestyle gold medal in January. Fellow Canadians Dara Howell, Kim Lamarre and Yuki Tsubota will be looking to climb the podium.
FREESTYLE SKIING: LADIES’ SKI SLOPESTYLE FINAL (4 a.m. ET) on CBC and TSN
The top-12 qualifiers from Tuesday morning’s heats take the slopes for two more runs to decide the medal winners.
CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING: MEN’S AND LADIES’ INDIVIDUAL SPRINT FREE QUALIFICATION (4:45 a.m. ET) on Sportsnet
Marit Bjorgen of Norway has 58 World Cup victories to her credit and won medals at Vancouver 2010, including three gold. Bjorgen success is expected to continue in Sochi, however she will have to compete with Poland’s Justina Kowalczyk, teammate Therese Johaug of Norway and American Kikkan Randall, who finished first, second and third overall last season, respectively. Daria Gaiazova and Perriane Jones will represent Canada in the Ladies’ event.
On the men’s side, Canada’s hopes rest on the capable shoulders of Alex Harvey, Devon Kershaw, Len Valjas, and Ivan Babikov. Harvey won bronze at the 2013 World Championship and is expected to be the top Canadian in this event. Reigning Olympic Champion and 2013 World Champion Nikita Kriukov will look to add another gold medal to his impressive resume.
SNOWBOARD: MEN’S HALFPIPE QUALIFICATION (4:55 a.m. ET) on TSN2
Two-time defending Olympic gold medallist Shaun White of the United States returns looking to continue his dominance. Brad Martin, Derek Livingston and Crispin Lipscomb make up the Canadian contingent in this event. Also expected to challenge for a medal is Switzerland’s Yuri “iPod” Podladchikov who won the 2013 World Halfpipe Championship and finished fourth at Vancouver 2010.
MEN’S CURLING - CANADA VS. SWEDEN (5 a.m. ET) on CBC
Sweden, the 2013 World Champion, is looking to improve on its fourth place from Vancouver 2010.
