CBC MUSIC JUST GOT MORE PERSONALITY

Six new web radio stations, including three stations curated by Canadian music legends plus three mood-based channels

CBCMusic.ca is pleased to announce the addition of six new web radio stations including three channels curated by legendary Canadian music personalities, plus three mood-based stations launching today.

Blues master Colin James, guitar legend Randy Bachman and internationally acclaimed dramatic tenor Ben Heppner have hand-selected personal playlists and will guide music fans on a journey to discover new music, as well as classic favourites on the following new channels:

Colin James’ Blues
Explore the best in contemporary and urban blues with Canada’s premier bluesman as your guide. Colin James will journey from the Mississippi Delta to Southside Chicago, throughout Canada and beyond.
Bachman’s Guitarchives
The incredible musical heritage of the guitar as curated by the legendary Randy Bachman presents listeners with six-string instrumental classics from the world of surf, jazz, classical, and naturally, rock ‘n’ roll.
Heppner’s Opera Gems
Hand-selected opera gems by the most celebrated dramatic tenor in the world, Ben Heppner. From the most familiar arias to the most-loved operas of all time along with opera overtures, intermezzi and choruses from the great voices of the 20th century to today’s rising stars.

In addition, CBCMusic.ca is introducing three new mood-based stations programmed for your every mood including:

Saddest Songs
Music that feels your pain, the most heart-breaking, tear-jerking songs of all time will bring new depths of sorrow to your day. Sad songs say so much.
Chill Out
Down-tempo beats and trip-hop tracks provide the perfect atmosphere for the chill-out room.
Workout Mix
Contemporary hits, EDM club favourites, and plenty of rhythmic remixes fuel the ultimate high-bpm soundtrack. A steady mix of heart-racing beats for the dance floor - or the gym.
