FANS INVITED TO MEET BATTLE OF THE BLADES CAST AND GET AN EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PEEK OF THE FIRST EPISODE

CBC Television’s BATTLE OF THE BLADES kicks off its fourth season with a special fan event at the CBC’s Toronto Broadcast Centre. Fans will have the chance to meet members of the BATTLE OF THE BLADES cast and get an exclusive sneak peek of the first episode, BATTLE OF THE BLADES: Made in Canada. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. and a first come, first-admission policy is in place for the first 250 people with wristbands (includes a guaranteed seat and photo opportunity with members of the cast).

WHAT: BATTLE OF THE BLADES exclusive sneak peek event at CBC Toronto, followed by a photo opportunity with members of the cast. Attendees must bring their own personal device for the photo opportunity.

WHEN: Sunday, September 22 at 3 p.m. Doors open at 2:30 p.m.

CBC will continue to announce a few names per day of this year’s cast from September 19-20, exclusively on cbc.ca/battle and @CBCbattle.

BATTLE OF THE BLADES moves to an all-new format with an action-packed hour of live performance combined with elimination each Sunday night, with the exception of the first two-hour live performance show on Sunday, September 29 at 8 p.m. (8:30 NT), which will not include an elimination.

Hosted by Ron MacLean, BATTLE OF THE BLADES is a dynamic show combining athletes from two of Canada’s favourite sports: figure skating and hockey. Eight World and Olympic figure skaters pair up with eight hockey greats in the ultimate skating competition for charity.
