CAN RIM RECLAIM ITS MARKET SHARE WITH THE BLACKBERRY 10? CBC NEWS' AMANDA LANG SITS DOWN WITH THE CEO OF RIM, THORSTEN HEINS, WEDNESDAY, JAN. 30, ON THE LANG & O'LEARY EXCHANGE

It’s live or die for Canada’s Research in Motion as it launches its new BB10 smartphone on Jan. 30. The early buzz has been good. But can RIM translate that into sales to win back a market it helped create, but that Apple and Samsung now dominate? Amanda Lang talks to the CEO of RIM, Thorsten Heins, who has bet the whole company - and some Canadian prestige - on this one product.

The interview will air on THE LANG & O’LEARY EXCHANGE, Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 6:30 p.m. (7 NT) on CBC-TV, and 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on CBC News Network, and will also be featured on THE NATIONAL Wednesday night.

And from the boardrooms to backstage, CBC News gained exclusive access to the world of the makers of BlackBerry in the run up to the launch of the BlackBerry 10. Adrienne Arsenault takes us inside the corporation that knows this is a make-or-break moment. Once tight lipped and considerably closed to the media, RIM executives decided it was time to open up about mistakes made, and a beginning they hope is brand new.

Adrienne Arsenault’s exclusive report airs on THE NATIONAL, Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 10 p.m. (10:30 NT) on CBC-TV, and 9 and 11 p.m. ET/PT on CBC News Network.
