Set against Canada’s beautiful northern backdrop, Yellowknife-based series ARCTIC AIR follows a maverick airline and the extended family of unconventional people who run it, starring Adam Beach as Bobby Martin, Pascale Hutton as Krista Ivarson and Kevin McNulty as Mel.

Picking up three months after the deadly crash that ended Season One, Season Two has the thrill of adventure pulsing through it as the airline continues to expand and grow under Bobby’s leadership, but it is not without its challenges. Does Mel recover? Is Krista’s engagement off with Blake? Does Bobby and Krista’s relationship continue? It’s a messy triangle that only gets more complicated. Hostility between Bobby and Dearman continues to simmer, made worse by Dearman’s investments in Yellowknife. Meanwhile, Blake, Dev, Astrid, Petra, Connor, Hailey, Kirby, Caitlin, Nelson, Loreen and Cece all struggle with difficult personal issues through the course of the season.

Reflected through the unique, dramatic prism of the Canadian north, ARCTIC AIR is an adventurous drama that centers on community and family. It is about who we are and how we live.

Watch ARCTIC AIR, Season 2 Wednesdays at 9 p.m. (9:30 NT) beginning Wednesday, January 9.

Don’t miss Adam as he sits down for an in-depth interview on GEORGE STROUMBOULOPOULOS TONIGHT Wednesday, January 9 at 7 p.m. on CBC-TELEVISION.
