CRACKED stars David Sutcliffe (Gilmore Girls, Private Practice) as Detective Adian Black, alongside his new partner, psychiatrist Dr. Daniella Ridley, played by Stefanie von Pfetten (NCIS, Battlestar Galactica). Rounding out the cast are Luisa d’Oliveira (The Good Wife, Supernatural) as Detective Poppy Wisnefski, Dayo Ade (Lost, NCIS Los Angeles) as psychiatric nurse Leo Beckett and Karen LeBlanc (Shattered, ReGenesis) as Inspector Diane Caligra.

Detective Aidan Black, a seasoned officer dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder is reassigned to the newly created Psych Crimes and Crisis Unit. There, he’s dismayed to find his partner is not another cop, but forensic psychiatrist Dr. Daniella Ridley, who left her prominent position at a downtown hospital to partner with the police. Black and Ridley are joined in the newly-formed unit by a cynical young Detective, a compassionate psychiatric nurse and a supervising Inspector keeping a close watch over the group and its unique partnerships.

Passionate and opposing viewpoints are an inherent part of the job in Psych Crimes, and the answers the teams seek never come easy. Black’s deep insight and investigative skills combine brilliantly with Ridley’s keen ability to decipher human behavior. Learning to work cohesively, the Psych Crimes and Crisis Unit investigates the city’s most troubling and psychologically complex crimes.

CRACKED was created by writer Tracey Forbes (Flashpoint, Buffy The Vampire Slayer) and Toronto Emergency Task Force officer Calum de Hartog and is produced by White Pine Pictures in association with CBC.

Watch CRACKED, Tuesdays at 9 p.m. (9:30 NT) beginning Tuesday, January 8.
