“Our listeners really have done an amazing job at showcasing the outstanding music of 2012,” says Norris. “We can’t wait to see how these awards play-out on December 7th.” Since 2006, CBC Radio 3 has presented the Bucky Awards, which pay homage to Canadian indie pop and rock musicians, the awards are determined by the listeners’ votes.
Voting for the Top Five is now live and goes until 3:00 a.m. EST Saturday on November 28th. Listeners’ votes will determine a winner for each category. The 2012 Bucky Awards will be handed out during Radio 3’s traditional gala ceremony on December 7th.
