UNNATURAL SELECTION: CBC NEWS INVESTIGATES GENDER SELECTION ABORTIONS IN CANADA; DIANA SWAIN REVEALS THE SHOCKING TRUTH TUESDAY, JUNE 12 ON THE NATIONAL

We tell you if it is a boy or a girl. If it’s a boy—fine, you keep; if it’s   a baby girl then you need to talk to family   doctor.”

A recent study by Toronto’s St. Michael’s   Hospital found that women from certain countries are statistically significantly   more likely to have boys as their second and third children, in stark contrast   to the gender ratio of latter children delivered by Canadian-born   women.

Are some women deliberately aborting unborn   girls?

CBC News investigates the horrifying notion of gender   selection abortions, in a special report Tuesday, June 12 on THE   NATIONAL. Senior investigative correspondent Diana Swain (@swaindiana) takes viewers inside   the issue with hidden-camera footage from private, unregulated ultrasound   clinics, and reveals the shocking truth.

THE   NATIONAL airs on CBC-TV at 10 p.m. (10:30 NT), and 9, 10 and 11 p.m.  ET/PT on CBC News Network.
