CBC'S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA RADIO PROVIDES COVERAGE OF NHL TRADE DEADLINE ON FEBRUARY 27

CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada Radio Trade Deadline 2012 provides Canadian hockey fans with comprehensive multi-platform coverage of NHL Trade Deadline day on Monday, Feb. 27. Coverage airs live on Hockey Night in Canada Radio on SiriusXM channel 157 and is streamed live on www.cbcsports.ca from 12 noon to 6 p.m. ET.

“There’s a lot of talk that goes on in advance of the NHL trade deadline, but this is where the talk ends and the action begins,” said Trevor Pilling, Executive Producer, CBC’S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA. “The moves made on Monday will have significant impact on how the rest of the season plays out, and we’ll keep hockey fans updated with every development.”

Host Gord Stellick and analysts Kelly Hrudey and P.J. Stock along with veteran hockey writer Tim Wharnsby will lead the coverage with comprehensive trade analysis. Joining the show from the Breaking News Desk are CBC’S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA analysts Elliotte Friedman and Glenn Healy. The team at Hockey Night in Canada radio will provide up-to-the minute trade news and interviews with players throughout the day.

Jim Hughson, Craig Simpson, Cassie Campbell-Pascall, Scott Oake, Greg Millen, Dean Brown and Garry Galley will provide instant analysis over the course of the day, providing updates and reports from each of the seven Canadian-based NHL teams.
