The new CBCsports.ca brings an enhanced experience for fans and more opportunities for advertisers

October 13, 2011 - Sports fans and advertisers have a whole new reason to visit Canada’s most engaging online home for sports news and analysis, as CBCSports.ca has unveiled a bold new design. Users now have access to better navigation, up-to-the-minute sports news, and live and on-demand video streaming, while advertisers can now reach the coveted sports audience in more and better ways.

“With so many new features on CBCSports.ca, the opportunities for engagement really have multiplied,” said Alan Dark, Executive Director, CBC’s The Revenue Group. “Streaming video, news and blogs will give our advertisers even more ways of reaching and enabling dialogue with our consumers,  and we’re excited to help them do that.”

The new site offers breaking news, stats and in-depth analysis across popular major sports leagues loved by Canadian Sports fans including NHL, CFL, NFL, MLB and much more, with a strong focus on social media tools and fantasy pools.  The fresh new look offers a number of integrated advertising opportunities including Pushdown ad unit, in-show product placement, Social TV engagement and branded content opportunities.

“As one of Canada’s leading digital sports destinations, cbcsports.ca reaches over 1 million avid sports fans each month, making it a clear choice for advertisers looking to reach this highly desirable audience through engaging and impactful ad opportunities,”  said Michka Mancini, Director Digital Sales, CBC’s The Revenue Group.
