- Life & People Tuesdays explore personal journeys;
- History Wednesdays feature stories from the past that make history current and relevant today;
- Adventure Thursdays showcase stories of athletes, daredevils and ordinary people in extraordinary situations; and
- Spotlight Sundays anchor the week with a selection of feature length, critically acclaimed films from Canada and around the world.
- documentary Channel will continue to feature a double bill of great documentaries on Hot Docs Friday Night.
“We are excited about the new schedule and believe our new programme strategy will really connect with doc lovers,” said Bruce Cowley, senior director of documentary Channel. “Audience-based research was the driver behind our theme nights and we are confident that they will connect with doc lovers.”
