Lineup announced for the free outdoor concert series running July 5 – August 16, 2019

VANCOUVER, B.C., June 19, 2019 – Happy 10 year anniversary Musical Nooners! CBC Vancouver is ready to kick-off the tenth season of its popular free, outdoor summer-long concert series, Musical Nooners, on  Friday July 5, with a special performance by The Harpoonist and the Axe Murderer with Dawn Pemberton. The whole community is invited to CBC Vancouver’s outdoor stage at 700 Hamilton Street to join in on the festivities.

"I am really excited to have The Harpoonist and the Axe Murderer with Dawn Pemberton kick off the 10th year of Musical Nooners. They are an incredible live band with electrifying energy,” remarks Jon Siddall, co-producer for the series. “Combined with Dawn’s bold funk sound, it is  the perfect way to kick off a summer of amazing concerts on the CBC Vancouver outdoor stage.”

“This is the tenth year of Musical Nooners, I am very proud of the role CBC Vancouver has played in supporting and developing local musicians all these years,” says Johnny Michel, senior managing director, CBC British Columbia and Alberta. "Our outdoor stage has become a place for new talent to get discovered and a coveted gig for seasoned performers. This year’s programming is stronger than ever and celebrates Vancouver’s music scene in all its diversity."

CBC Vancouver’s Musical Nooners is a free concert series and runs Monday - Friday, from noon to 1pm, at the CBC Broadcast Centre at 700 Hamilton Street (between Robson and Georgia) from July 5 – August 16.
