CBC Statement on Coverage of Arts and Entertainment in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick

We have a long and rich tradition of covering arts and entertainment in Atlantic Canada.

Tara Thorne made a significant contribution to our CBC coverage over the years and we thank her for that work.

And while we have decided to go in a different direction this Fall, we can assure you that our commitment to the arts remains steadfast.

We acknowledge this decision has evoked a range of opinions.

Our Code of Conduct is publicly available and includes expectations for posting to social media.

Please know our decision was made thoughtfully and with care after speaking with Tara.

We will not be commenting further on the matter.

We will continue to update our audience on our future coverage plans.
