CBC PODCASTS ANNOUNCES FALL 2022 LINEUP FEATURING THREE POWERFUL NEW SERIES


CBC Podcasts’ fall slate includes: PRESSURE COOKER, a tale of entrapment and a botched RCMP investigation; THE OUTLAW OCEAN, exploring lawlessness on the high seas; and an immersive audio experience based on Pauline Dakin’s best-selling memoir RUN, HIDE, REPEAT

CBC, Canada’s public broadcaster and #1 Canadian podcaster today shared details about its original podcast slate for fall 2022. The upcoming lineup features two all-new, powerful investigative series: PRESSURE COOKER, the mind-boggling story of a couple entangled in a terrorism investigation; and THE OUTLAW OCEAN, exploring the lawlessness and crime on the world’s waterways. The fall season also includes Pauline Dakin’s podcast adaptation of her best-selling memoir RUN, HIDE, REPEAT about her mysterious and complicated childhood spent on the run.

PRESSURE COOKER (5 episodes)

THE OUTLAW OCEAN (7 episodes)
Launching Monday, September 26 

The high seas are beyond the reach of international law, and beyond the beat of most reporters, but Pulitzer Prize-winner and former New York Times journalist, Ian Urbina, has sailed into uncharted territories. Urbina set out on a years-long quest to investigate murder at sea, modern slave labour, environmental crimes and quixotic adventurers. Part travelog, part true-crime thriller, this seven-part series takes listeners to places where the laws of the land no longer apply.
