CBC Sports to provide streaming coverage of the 2022 Panda Game

The 53rd Panda Game between the Ottawa Gee-Gees and the Carleton Ravens will once again be carried from coast-to-coast by CBC Sports.

The annual affair pits the crosstown rivals against one another at the 24,000 seat TD Place Stadium in Ottawa. Football fans from across the country can tune in live on any of CBC Sports’ digital platforms, including the free CBC Gem streaming service, cbcsports.ca and the CBC Sports app for iOS and Android device for complete coverage of the game in English. This will be the second consecutive year CBC Sports has covered the storied event, which was first contested in 1955. The 2022 edition kicks off at 12 p.m. ET (9 a.m. PT) on Saturday, October 1.

“After seeing so many special moments from the OUA broadcast across CBC Sports’ digital platforms last season, we are thrilled to launch this second year with another of the most iconic events on the varsity sport calendar,” said Gord Grace, OUA President & CEO. “The 53rd Panda Game promises to be another must-see event, kicking off what will be another fantastic slate of conference events and championships available to audiences across Canada.”

Last year’s matchup did not disappoint, with the Gee-Gees winning by a 19-17 score thanks to a dramatic, last-minute field goal. Ottawa enters as winners of three straight Panda Games, and hold an all-time record of 35-17 over the Ravens with Pedro the Panda on the line.

In addition to the coverage on CBC Sports, the game will also be streamed on OUA.tv. Fans in the Ottawa-Gatineau area can also tune in live on the radio on TSN 1200 and can find coverage in French on Rogers TV channel 23.

Tickets for the game are sold out.
