Lopii Productions and CBC Kids partner to bring audiences the “Bestest Day Ever”

Award-winning Canadian kids’ production company Lopii Productions is proud to announce its sixth original series, Bestest Day Ever With My Best Friend! Made in partnership with CBC Kids, Bestest Day Ever is a 20 x 7-minute live-action order set to launch in 2023.

Bestest Day Ever With My Best Friend! is a show that celebrates the cherished relationships children have with their pets and gives them the opportunity to say thank you to that fuzzy, furry, scaly, slithering or feathered friend in an extra big way.

In each adorable episode, we meet an owner and their well-deserving pet, with the help of our host, the owners will come up with an extra special way to say thank you as well as learn some tips to be able to do something nice for their pet when they are back home. Packed with fun, pet kisses, surprises and cuteness, Bestest Day Ever With My Best Friend! is a show that kids will watch with their whole family (and their pets too!).

Lopii Productions will be looking for kids, siblings and families (ages 4-12) with special, deserving pets to apply to be a part of the show to be filmed in January- February 2023. Interested participants can send an email to casting@lopiiproductions.com to be considered!

Lopii co-founder and series producer, Rennata Lopez says “We are super excited to work with CBC for the first time. They are a Canadian broadcasting institution and we are honoured to be a part of their national line-up. I can’t wait to start meeting kids and their adorable pets for this heartwarming special series.”

“We are thrilled to partner with the Lopii sisters on this new fun and heartwarming CBC Kids original preschool series,” said Swin Chang, Executive in Charge of Production and Development, CBC Kids. “Anyone who has had a childhood pet knows the special bond that kids have with their animals and the enormous benefits to their physical and socio-emotional well-being. We hope this series highlights the importance of kindness and nurturing in a joyful celebration of those often-overlooked family members.”

Lopii Productions was one of 19 recipients of Canada Media Fund's Pilot Program for Racialized Communities (PPRC). PPRC is a new fund designed to support the growth of English- and French-language audiovisual production by underrepresented creators. Bestest Day Ever with My Best Friends! was just one of 12 English projects to be selected and the only children's program on the slate!
