CBC AND CARAS CELEBRATE CANADIAN MUSIC WITH THE 2023 JUNO AWARDS AND SPECIAL MUSIC PROGRAMMING THIS WEEK

CBC is bringing Canada’s biggest celebration of music to audiences on all platforms at home and around the world with a special lineup of programming that showcases the best in Canadian music leading up to The 2023 JUNO AWARDS. Simu Liu returns to host The 52nd Annual JUNO Awards, broadcasting live in all time zones across the country from Edmonton on Monday, March 13 at 8 p.m. ET/6 p.m. MT on CBC,CBC Gem, CBC Radio One, CBC Music, and CBC Listen. The JUNO Awards will also be available on CBC Music’sFacebook,Twitter, Youtube and TikTok pages and for audiences around the globe at cbcmusic.ca/junos.

The live broadcast will feature nine performances, including a 50th anniversary of Hip Hop spotlight featuring Kardinal Offishall, Haviah Mighty, Choclair, Dream Warriors, Maestro Fresh Wes, Michie Mee, TOBi, DJ Mel Boogie and performances by Alexisonfire, AP Dhillon, Aysanabee, Banx & Ranx together with Preston Pablo and Rêve, Jessie Reyez, Nickelback, Tate McRae and Tenille Townes. Audiences tuning into the JUNO Awards can also expect appearances from presenters Andrew Phung (Kim’s Convenience, Run the Burbs), Avril Lavigne, Bean Gill (CBC’s Push), Connor McDavid (Edmonton Oilers), Jessie Reyez, KallMeKris, Lauren Spencer Smith, Minister of Canadian Heritage The Honourable Pablo Rodriguez, Pierre Kwenders, Ryan Reynolds and Tyler Shaw.
