CBC AND CARAS RENEW JUNO AWARDS EXCLUSIVE BROADCAST AND CONTENT PARTNERSHIP

The renewed five-year partnership begins next year with the 2024 JUNO Awards in Halifax, through to 2028

Announced tonight at the 2023 JUNO Opening Night Awards in Edmonton, CBC and the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) have renewed their exclusive broadcast and content partnership for an additional five years, continuing with The 53rd Annual JUNO Awards in Halifax live on CBC on Sunday, March 24, 2024. The renewal extends the partnership that CARAS and CBC began in 2018 with The 47th JUNO Awards in Vancouver, BC.

With this extension, we will deepen our shared commitment to nurture and showcase the very best musical talent from across Canada, including new and emerging voices,” said Barbara Williams, Executive Vice-President, CBC. “The JUNOS demonstrate just how vital music creativity is in this country, and we’re looking forward to honouring our long-standing relationship with Canadian musicians and Canadian music fans in the coming years.”

As the home for Canadian music, CBC is dedicated to showcasing homegrown artists throughout the year and during JUNO Week. CBC is bringing Canada’s biggest celebration of music to audiences on all platforms at home and around the world with a special lineup of programming (full schedule here ) that showcases the best in Canadian music leading up to The 2023 JUNO AWARDS.

The JUNO Awards Broadcast with host Simu Liu will broadcast and stream from Edmonton’s Rogers Place, live across Canada Monday, March 13 at 8 p.m. ET/6 p.m. MT on CBC TV, CBC Gem, CBC Radio One, CBC Music, CBC Listen, and globally at CBCMusic.ca/junos and CBC Music’s Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and TikTok pages.
