CBC Kids Greenlights Second Season of Bestest Day Ever From Lopii Productions

Host Lisette Xavier is returning with more surprises, more adorableness and more pets in 20 new episodes - casting for Season 2 is open now

March 15, 2024 – CBC Kids has renewed Canadian Screen Award-nominated live-action preschool series BESTEST DAY EVER WITH MY BEST FRIEND! for a second and Bestest season of the show yet! Created and produced by Lopii Productions for kids aged 3-6 and their families, the new season (20x7) is scheduled to premiere in Winter 2025. The show celebrates critters and creatures of all walks of life.

In every episode of BESTEST DAY EVER, host Lisette meets up with a wonderful young pet owner and their beloved pet. We hear about their bond and what makes their relationship so special, and Lisette (occasionally with a guest) teaches our awesome owners a special way they can say thank you with a DIY toy, treat or enrichment that will make their day. After their pet gives their new treat a try, they head over to the Surprise Zone, where they are given a once-in-a-lifetime experience, customized to the pet's personality and their favourite things to do.

Swin Chang, Executive in Charge of Production and Development, CBC Kids, says, “Bestest Day Ever with My Best Friend! shares the owners’ genuine love for their animals, and Lisette’s infectious energy, with families and young viewers across the country. Working with our partners at Lopii Productions, we look forward to introducing audiences to a new group of friends in Season 2.”

Creators and Founders of Lopii Productions Rennata and Georgina López say, “The ultimate goal of Bestest Day Ever with My Best Friend! is to encourage simple acts of kindness and gratitude and celebrate the incredible bond between humans and their special animals. We are so excited to film more surprises and more cuteness with our friends at the CBC.”

Lopii Productions is now casting kids for the new season, with production to commence in April 2024 in Toronto. Those interested in being part of the new season’s fun can contact Lopii Productions at lopiiproductions.com/casting

Applications to give your pet the Bestest Day Ever are open for children ages 5-12, and will remain open until April 15, 2024. Visit www.lopiiproductions.com/casting for all the details.
