CBC CROWNS THE WINNER OF CANADA'S SMARTEST PERSON IN THE TWO-HOUR SEASON FINALE ON SUNDAY NOVEMBER 22

CBC’s competition series, CANADA’S SMARTEST PERSON  wraps its second season with an exciting two-hour finale on Sunday, November 22 at 8 p.m. (8:30 NT). In   the penultimate episode, Jason Vander-Hoek of Langley, BC secured the final spot in the finale.

  After seven weeks of intense competition the finalists return for the ultimate showdown. A rapper, a YouTube performer, a winemaker, an engineering student, an IT security executive, a CFL player and a teacher will battle it out until one reigns victorious and is crowned   “Canada’s Smartest Person.”

  The competition will be intense as the finalists go head-to-head in an all-new series of thrilling challenges that test six areas of intelligence. Only the   top two who demonstrate the greatest strength across the board will make it to the ultimate showdown, the Super Gauntlet, before only one remains to take   the coveted title. Special guest judges include TIFF’s artistic director Cameron Bailey and chef Mark McEwan.

  •       Alex Manea       , an IT security executive from Waterloo, ON  
  •  
  •       Marco Iannuzzi,       a CFL player from White Rock, BC  
  •  
  •       Jason Vander-Hoek       , a teacher from Langley, BC

Each week, viewers can play along in real-time with the ground-breaking CANADA’S SMARTEST PERSON app, available foriOS and   Android devices.The app syncs to every broadcast allowing   viewers to participate with each challenge in the show in real time. During the week, viewers can try their hand at a series of bonus challenges and new   this season, is Head2Head, which allows players to dual against their family and friends.
