CBC REVEALS FOURTH ROUND OF PARTICIPANTS COMPETING ON CANADA'S SMARTEST PERSON

Last week, winemaker Dan Tweyman secured his spot in the season finale

                This week, celebrity judges include Canadian actor Alan Thicke and acclaimed choreographer Sean Cheesman        

CBC’s competition series, CANADA’S SMARTEST PERSON   unveils its fourth round of competitors, including a social entrepreneur, an engineering student, a software trainer and an economics and political science   student who will compete on Sunday, October 25 at 8 p.m. (8:30 NT) for the chance to take home the ultimate intelligence title. In last week’s episode, winemaker Dan Tweyman earned a spot in the season finale, and will have the chance to be crowned   “Canada’s Smartest Person.”

In the fourth episode of the season, Mealshare co-founder Andrew Hall of Vancouver, B.C., economics and political science studentPetros Kusmu of Edmonton, AB, engineering student Katy Warren of St. John’s, NFLD and software trainer   Neila Scott of Maple Ridge, BC will go head-to-head, competing for a spot in the finale. The participants were chosen after under-going a rigorous application process including a series of tests to prove they have what it takes to compete for the title of ”  Canada’s Smartest Person.” Appearing as celebrity judges in this episode are actor Alan Thicke and famed   choreographer Sean Cheesman.

Hosted by Jessi CruickshankCANADA’S SMARTEST PERSON is an innovative, original competition series based on the Theory of Multiple Intelligences. Each week, four   participants compete in a series of challenges in six areas of intelligence (linguistic, logical, visual, physical, musical and social) that redefines   smart. This season features even more action-packed competition marked by bigger, bolder, mind-bending challenges that push participants to their limits.   It also includes an all-star line-up of judges.

Each week, viewers can play along in real-time with the ground-breaking CANADA’S SMARTEST PERSON app, available foriOS and   Android devices. The app syncs to every broadcast allowing   viewers to participate with each challenge in the show in real time. During the week, viewers can try their hand at a series of bonus challenges and new   this season, is Head2Head, which allows players to dual against their family and friends.

  CANADA’S SMARTEST PERSON airs Sundays at 8 p.m. (8:30 NT) on CBC-TV.
