CBC'S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA HAS EXCLUSIVE COVERAGE OF THE 2014 STANLEY CUP FINAL, BEGINNING JUNE 4

Ron MacLean, Don Cherry and the Studio 42 Crew will broadcast live from the arena for each game of the best-of-seven series
 
It’s more than a game. It’s the Stanley Cup Final. Canadian hockey fans will have the best seat in the house for every game of the NHL’s championship series thanks to exclusive coverage from CBC’S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA. Each broadcast will be available live on CBC-TV, online at CBCSports.ca and through the CBC Hockey app for iOS and Xbox. Game 1 between the New York Rangers and the Los Angeles Kings will air Wednesday, June 4 at 7:30 p.m. ET (4:30 p.m. PT).
 
This year’s Stanley Cup Final features a New York Rangers franchise seeking its first championship in 20 years and a Los Angeles Kings team looking to capture its second Stanley Cup in three years. The Eastern Conference Champion Rangers, led by net minder Henrik Lundqvist, booked their ticket to the Final by defeating the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday while the Kings and all-star goalie Jonathan Quick were crowned Western Conference Champions after taking down the defending Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks in overtime of a thrilling Game 7.The Kings have won three consecutive Game 7s in this year’s playoffs and are the only team to have played in all 21 possible games thus far.
 
CBC’s Jim Hughson will handle play-by-play duties for the Stanley Cup Final alongside analyst Craig Simpson (@hnicsimmer). Glenn Healy will add further analysis from his position between the benches and Scott Oake (@ScottOake) will provide reports and interviews from rink level and will also host the Chevrolet Online Post-Game Show live at CBCSports.ca. CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada Punjabi presented by Chevrolet, available on select digital channels and online at CBCSports.ca/punjabi, will also broadcast every game from the Stanley Cup Final.
 
Host Ron MacLean and the Studio 42 Crew will be on the road throughout the Stanley Cup Final, broadcasting live from the arena for each game. As always, MacLean will be joined by P.J. Stock (@PJStockHNIC), Elliotte Friedman (@FriedgeHNIC) and Kelly Hrudey (@KellyHrudey) on the desk. In addition to his usual role, Friedman will also host Chevrolet I-Desk segments throughout the series. Don Cherry (@CoachsCornerCBC) will also travel with the crew and will be joined by MacLean for Coach’s Corner brought to you by Budweiser during each game of the Stanley Cup Final.
 
The top players from every game throughout the Final on CBC will be featured in the 3 Stars presented by Hotels.com following the conclusion of each game.

This online feature allows viewers to follow a single isolated camera on their computers or mobile devices. Fans are asked to vote online at CBCSports.ca/breakaway throughout the week leading up to the selected game to help decide which player will be the focus of the Breakaway Cam.
 
Hockey Night in Canada Radio on SiriusXM with host Rob Pizzo continues throughout the Stanley Cup Playoffs from 3-5 p.m. ET every weekday on Sirius 207 and XM 211. Pizzo welcomes the biggest names in the game for in-depth discussion and insightful interviews on the latest storylines from the playoffs.
