CBC’s HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA alongside CBCMusic.caare looking for inspirational, energetic songs that will excite hockey fans from coast to coast to coast and get the nation’s heart pounding in this year’s edition of Song Quest. Participants can now submit their songs at CBCMusic.ca/SongQuest.

Hockey Night in Canada and CBCMusic.ca announced a stellar line-up of hockey experts and music pros to judge the competition. Their input, combined with fan votes, will determine the winning entry.

This year’s Song Quest judges are:

JUNO and Grammy Award-nominated Sara Quin of Tegan and Sara @TeganandSara
Former NHL Stanley Cup Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist Theo Fleury @TheoFleury14

The winning song will be professionally produced by Joel Plaskett and featured in a video montage for an opening sequence of a HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA broadcast. The winner of the competition will also travel to Lloydminster, AB/SK to perform their song at the Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada concert on January 18, 2014 as part of the 2013-2014 season.
