CBC RADIO ONE LAUNCHES 88.7FM IN TILLSONBURG, ONTARIO

CBC has announced FM Radio One coverage improvement in the Tillsonburg, Ontario area starting on Thursday, July 9 on 88.7 FM. The   new frequency will serve more than 50,000 English-speaking Canadians in the region, providing them with CBC’s Radio One service.

  “The goal for CBC’s local news service is to increase the local touch points we have with Canadians in each of their communities, offering comprehensive   local news and information,” said Jennifer McGuire, general manager and editor-in-chief, CBC News and Centres. “We look forward to bringing the CBC Radio   One frequency to Canadians in the Tillsonburg region.”

6 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.
Ontario Morning tells listeners what’s happening in your world - whether it’s down the road or around the globe. Get the latest national and international   news on World Report and local newscasts on the half-hour.

  The Current
8:30 a.m.
The Current is a meeting place of perspectives, ideas and voices, with a fresh take on issues that affect Canadians today. Based in every major region of   the country, our team of journalists think locally and globally. If major news is breaking, they’re on it. The show brings new insight to stories that   Canadians are talking about now, uncovering stories they’ll be talking about next week and next year.

  q
10 a.m. and 10 p.m.
q is an energetic daily arts, culture and entertainment program featuring in-depth conversations with the most compelling people observing and influencing   culture today. q also features live musical performances, provocative debates on hot-button issues and lively panel discussions.

  Afternoon Drive
4 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Afternoon Drive reconnects people to their communities with stories from southwest Ontario. Whether the listener lives in London, Windsor or points in   between, the Afternoon Drive team bring them the stories, features and music that matter.
