SEVEN BAKERS REMAIN FOLLOWING COOKIE WEEK ON CBC’S THE GREAT CANADIAN BAKING SHOW

THE GREAT CANDIAN BAKING SHOW is now accepting applications for Season 5

Project scheduler and engineer, Oyaks Airende, 28, of Calgary, Alberta sadly met his batch, exiting the tent on this week’s episode of THE GREAT CANADIAN BAKING SHOW, while Markham, Ontario’s Mahathi Mundluru proved to be one smart cookie, earning the title of Star Baker. 

During week three, the bakers made Linzer Cookies with customized cutouts and personalized fillings, followed by the Technical Bake which required the contestants to make Stroopwafels, the Dutch classic caramel-filled cookie made on a speciality waffle iron. For the Show Stopper, they were tasked with sharing their family story through a Cookie Family Portrait.  

As Oyaks leaves the tent, the following seven bakers remain:

In next week’s episode of THE GREAT CANADIAN BAKING SHOW, the seven remaining bakers are transported across the pond to try their hand at timeless Italian treats during Italian Week, airing next Sunday, March 7 at 8 p.m. (8:30 NT) on CBC and the free CBC Gem streaming service.
