CBC KIDS BOOK CLUB LIVE TO VISIT LIBRARIES IN THE VANCOUVER AREA, MAY 5–7

CBC KIDS BOOK CLUB LIVE is going on a west coast road trip! CBC Kids hosts Janaye and Gary the Unicorn are sharing their love of reading in-person at three special library events in the Vancouver area, May 5–7. The visits will include musical storytimes featuring special guest authors, plus meet and greets, crafts, games, and more.

Friday, May 5 - Surrey Libraries - City Centre branch

10 a.m. to 1 p.m. PT

CBC Kids Book Club Live shows with Janaye and Gary at 10:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.

Special guests: 

Kiranjot Kaur, author of Sangeet and the Missing Beat

Kuljinder Kaur Brar, author of My Name is Saajin Singh

 

Meet and greets with the authors, Janaye and Gary will be held between shows, starting at 10:50 a.m.

 

Saturday, May 6 - Vancouver Public Library - Central Library

Meet and greets with the authors, Janaye and Gary will be held between shows, starting at 1 p.m. 

 

On-site activities for kids include creating their own picture books and bookmarks, and Lumoplay, a fun interactive station where kids can walk in the hooves and paws of their CBC Kids friends, as well as a raffle for a special Book Club Prize Pack, and the opportunity to appear on CBC Kids.
