ANDREW BROWN NAMED NEW HOST OF CBC’S LONDON MORNING

Longtime broadcaster leads CBC Radio One’s London flagship morning show

LONDON — Starting today, longtime CBC journalist Andrew Brown is the new host of CBC Radio One’s London Morning.

“London is a vibrant, diverse and growing city. It's the perfect place to dig into compelling stories and community connections,” said Andrew Brown. “To start every weekday morning with the people that make our little corner of southwestern Ontario unique, will be an absolute privilege”.

Brown has been with CBC for more than 13 years. He began as a reporter and video journalist in St. John’s and Labrador City, NL. He then moved to Calgary where he was a reporter and host of news and current affairs shows on both radio and television.

He regularly hosted CBC TV News at 6 p.m. and had his fair share of viral moments. One quip about the relatively low pay of a hockey player had Andrew making news, with an offer he could refuse.

“We are thrilled to welcome Andrew with his blend of strong journalism, easy conversational style and engaging on-air presence,” said Erin Noel, managing editor, Ontario Region. “His desire to get out into the community will ensure London Morning keeps its finger on the pulse of what’s important to Londoners.”

Listeners can rely on CBC’s London Morning for local and international news, meaningful conversations, great music, with traffic and weather to get your day going.

Listen: Weekdays 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on CBC Radio One 93.5 FM and on CBC Listen.
