Eurovision Song Contest 2027: It’s Up to the Public to Choose Canada’s Representative!
CBC/Radio-Canada has announced the five finalists who were selected by a jury of industry professionals and will be vying for the honour of representing Canada at the Eurovision Song Contest 2027: William Cloutier, Josiane (Josiane Comeau), Rêve (Briannah Donolo), Talk (Nicholas Durocher) and Tyler Shaw.

Jenna Timmons-Oikawa of Ottawa wins the 2026 CBC Nonfiction Prize
CBC Books, CBC’s online home for literary content, together with its partners the Canada Council for the Arts and Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, today announced Jenna Timmons-Oikawa of Ottawa as the winner of the 2026 CBC Nonfiction Prize. Timmons-Oikawa’s story, Wawa Indian, was selected from nearly 1,900 entries.

CBC/Radio-Canada Expands International News Including Five New Bureaus to be Launched Around the World
Over the next two years, CBC News and Radio-Canada Info will place journalists in at least five new regions or countries: Beijing, Jerusalem, Los Angeles, Mexico City, a new location in Europe, to be determined, as well as a permanent presence in Africa in the near future, while continuing to regularly deploy journalists to other countries around the world.
